IV Nutrient Therapy

Direct delivery of vitamins, minerals and other micronutrients into the bloodstream boosts healing at the cellular level

What is IV nutrient therapy?

IV nutrient therapy delivers vitamins, amino acids, minerals and micronutrients into your bloodstream by means of an intravenous solution. The nutrients entirely bypass the digestive system, which allow them to be absorbed more directly in higher concentrations by your cells.

Chambers Clinic offers IV lounges in both its Scottsdale and Tempe locations. These include comfortable lounge chairs, soothing music and an attentive full-time nursing staff.

How does a nutrient IV work?

Nutrient IVs are similar to what you might see in hospitals or in TV and movie medical dramas – a bag of solution is hung on a pole and slowly drips into a vein site that is punctured with a special needle (“butterfly” or catheter). At Chambers Clinic, the contents of each nutrient IV are customized to treat specific medical conditions. Our physicians and medical staff use a base solution such as sterile water, lactated ringer’s solution or normal saline, then inject a combination of vitamins, minerals and micronutrients depending on the indicated treatment. Ingredients can include: Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), B-complex vitamins, Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3). Pyradoxine (B6), Dexapantheol (B5), Methylcobalamin (B12), Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, Selenium, amino acids, and other trace minerals.

How long does an IV therapy session last?

A typical IV treatment can last between 30-90 minutes depending on solution volume and patient constitution.

What does a nutrient IV do?

When the body is nutrient deficient, oral supplements are simply not enough. Typically these are limited by the size of a capsule or tablet. IV nutrient therapy can successfully provide swift delivery of nutrients, in a concentration that allows them to reach and aid the tissues that need the most nourishment.

Specifically, Nutrient IVs boost cellular metabolism at the root level. Because IVs are infused directly into the bloodstream, nutrients can more readily enter cells. This increases the “concentration gradient”. As a result, cells can more effectively rid themselves of accumulated toxins and re-establish homeostasis (the balance of nutrients within the cell).

What are some common types of nutrient IVs?

Chambers Clinic offers a number of IV formulations – some are used for general hydration and nutrition and some are customized to benefit specific conditions including cancer, heart disease, viral illness and autoimmune conditions.

Common Chambers Clinic IVs include:

  • Hydration IV. Due to stress from lifestyle and diet, many people are in a chronic state dehydration. Rehydration from drinking water alone are often not enough to remedy this condition. Chambers Clinic offers hydration IV therapy with Lactated Ringers solution or normal saline to re-hydrate cells and the bloodstream, which enables the body to function properly.

  • Myer’s Cocktail. This nutrient IV offers a combination of vitamins and nutrients that can be administered to specifically address a broad spectrum of health conditions or for general well being.

  • Anti-cancer IVs - Chambers Clinic administers IVs as part of its natural and adjunct cancer treatment protocols. Each IV is tailored by our doctors to the specific type and stage of a patient's cancer to help fight the disease and/or mitigate side effects of traditional therapies such as chemotherapy and radiation.

  • High Dose Vitamin C. Safe administration of high dose Vitamin C (also known as ascorbic acid) is indicated for a number of medical conditions, including cancer and viral illnesses. Doses are adjusted by the condition and patient constitution.

  • Heavy Metal Chelation. Heavy metals can accumulate our bodies from environmental exposure, dental amalgams, contaminated food and water. These can interfere with normal neurotransmitter signaling and metabolic function, which can cause a host debilitating symptoms. Chelation is a process by which solutions such as EDTA are introduced into the venous system to attract and bind heavy metals so they can be safely eliminated from the body. Chambers Clinic has a proven protocol for heavy metal toxicity testing and chelation over several weeks that can remove metals from the body and restore your health.

  • Other nutrient IV solutions we offer include: magnesium IVs for heart conditions, anti-viral IVs, autoimmune IVs, detoxification IV for drug and alcohol addiction, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) IVs, ozone IVs, and IV chelation (EDTA), among others.

The team at Chambers Clinic makes use of the most advanced nutritional therapeutic strategies. Our physicians and our technicians have had extensive training in the opportunities, uses and safe administration of IV nutrient therapy. You can be confident that out of the variety of different IV nutrient protocols your Chambers Clinic physician will create the most beneficial therapeutic protocols for your particular needs.
